GCSE and iGCSE Maths

GCSE and iGCSE Maths support that rebuilds confidence and exam readiness.

Charlotte works with students who need clearer foundations, sharper exam technique, better organisation or a structured route towards the highest grades.

From uncertainty to independent problem solving.

GCSE Maths can feel overwhelming when gaps have accumulated over several years. Charlotte’s lessons identify those gaps, rebuild core understanding and give students repeated, carefully guided practice until they can work more independently.

Some students need to secure a confident pass. Others are aiming for grades 8 or 9. The programme changes according to the student’s starting point, confidence, school demands and exam timeline.

Charlotte’s current specialism is Mathematics. Selected science support or Combined Science coordination may be available by arrangement where it genuinely fits the student’s needs and Charlotte’s availability.

Lesson rhythm

Consistent structure, adapted to the student.

Recap

Each session revisits previous work so knowledge is reinforced rather than briefly understood and then forgotten.

New teaching

Concepts are broken down clearly, with modelling, guided practice and attention to common exam traps.

Homework and feedback

Homework is tailored to the student, with checklists and materials designed to keep progress organised between sessions.

For anxious students

Charlotte has completed training in child confidence and anxiety, and has experience supporting students who find maths stressful. Lessons are calm, structured and honest: the aim is to remove panic, not lower expectations.

Exam technique

Understanding is necessary. Marks still need strategy.

Students learn how to read questions carefully, show working, manage time, check answers and recognise when a question is testing a familiar concept in an unfamiliar form.
